Meet Andrea
Andrea Kessler, OTR/L, PT, DPT, EdD, is the founder of OccuTecture, a leadership development company dedicated to helping healthcare professionals build meaningful, sustainable careers and helping healthcare organizations develop engaged clinicians and courageous leaders.
With nearly 25 years of experience in rehabilitation, Dr. Kessler has served as an occupational therapist, physical therapist, healthcare administrator, educator, mentor, and leader. Her career spans clinical practice, academic leadership, and workforce development, providing her with a unique perspective on the challenges clinicians face throughout their professional journey.
As an Assistant Professor, Dr. Kessler has taught and mentored hundreds of future healthcare professionals, developing curricula that emphasize leadership, professional identity, clinical reasoning, and lifelong learning. Her work is grounded in the belief that exceptional healthcare begins with clinicians who understand themselves, lead with purpose, and remain connected to the values that first drew them to the profession.
Through The Courageous Clinician and Courageous Clinical Leaders programs, Dr. Kessler partners with healthcare organizations to strengthen employee engagement, develop emerging leaders, and cultivate healthier workplace cultures. Her identity-first leadership framework integrates professional identity, resilience, nervous system awareness, healthy boundaries, and leadership development to help clinicians thrive—not simply endure—in today's healthcare environment.
